Pain Perception

I’m currently working on other projects so forgive the lack of updates! I’ll be back on schedule soon.

Here’s a short article from Fitness Magazine:

Ease the Ouch

Next time you donate blood or need a shot, don’t look away: You’ll lessen the sting if you stare at your arm as you’re being pricked, according to a new study in Psychological Science. “We found that what you see influences what you feel. Just looking at your body rather than the needle makes you perceive less pain,” says lead study author Flavia Mancini, a cognitive neuro-scientist at the University of Milano-Bicocca in Italy. The trick may come in handy when you’re at the gym, too. Check yourself out in the mirror as you power through that last set of squats.
